Thanks Nathan. Most photographers around here expose for the face and completely blow out background. Sometimes y try his works giving you that airy look , but I typically don’t like it. Exposing for highlights … how much are you willing to lift shadows before it’s too much ? Thanks.

So good and beautiful photos. Funny I actually was just in a situation on Sunday for a shoot in the middle of a road in some open desert surroundings shooting from 1p to 3p in 85-90 degree temps. I knew I wanted to use a scrim to help defuse the sun overhead. I was also using OCF for most of the shoot as well. We had a little breeze that caused a little hiccup time to time as my 4x8 scrim by Glow from Adorama would blow around a bit but I was smart and had it attached to a c-stand (no assistant). So we had to tend w/ adjusting it back and forth at times and could never really place it where I really wanted it. But in the end the images of her and her motorcycle came out fantastic and the shoot was a blast. So we shouldn’t be afraid of that harsh sun :) love your work and these images

From experience with outdoor fashion shoots, I would say that the biggest problem in nature often is the green backspill to the skin and clothes… flagging this with black Stage molton or similar outside the frame XD or just flash it away is sometimes the only solution. this is also stuff super hard to impossible to retouch away.

I actually went through that phase during pandemic, actually I started feeling that before pandemic hit us. But I am glad I go the time to think through it, and now, just like what you said in your video, I try to create something for myself as much as possible, and as offten as possible. As a photographer turned printmaker, I am intrigued. As a starting artist/student, I can't justify the price for Squarespace. I just want a portfolio space. Pixpa prices seem a bit better and I will be trying it.
